The Hamilton 1700 series gas-tight syringe is specially designed and built to offer maximum performance in a wide range of applications.

The body is made of borosilicate glass compressed on a precision ground mandrel to produce an optically smooth hole.

The glass is tempered in order to reduce internal tensions.

For all 1700 series syringes (except 1701 and 1710 models) the plungers are coated with PTFE.

The tip of the Tip piston, completely in PTFE, is machined with precision machines providing an excellent watertight seal, as well as being inert to gases and liquids, they allow precision and reproducibility of ± 1%.

The loss of substance, due to applications under pressure is less than 3 ul per hour at 7 atmospheres.

Virtually every element of the 1700 series syringes can be repaired on site.
